Winsol will present its new outdoor and vertical shading solutions, from modular patio covers to Fusion shutters, at the upcoming R+T.
While visiting the Winsol booth at R+T, visitors can learn about Winsol's new Fusion shutters, CEO Xavier Costenoble announced. "They combine all the advantages of shutters on the one hand and screens on the other!" So users can enjoy the privacy, security and thermal and sound insulation properties that roller shutters offer. However, unlike a standard roller shutter, the slats of this new roller shutter with a height of 15 mm are much smaller.
In addition, these new shutters have micro-perforations that run across the entire width of the shutter. This allows up to four times more daylight to enter compared to traditional roller shutters and allows end-users - as with screens - to enjoy transparency to the outside. The micro-perforations also serve as an excellent insect screen. In addition, the position of the slats and microperforations allows the amount of daylight entering to be regulated from 100% to 3%. This makes it possible to completely darken a room.
"The Fusion shutters fit perfectly into Winsol's full range of vertical blinds," notes Costenoble. Winsol is also presenting that range in full at their booth at R+T. The Winsol SolFix screens, for example, are available in three models. Built-in screens, such as the SolFix IN, are very suitable for new construction projects because the box is built into the cavity above the window from the outside. In turn, front-mounted screens are a suitable solution for existing windows in a renovation project, but can of course also be used for new construction. Here, the box is mounted in or on the day on the outside of the house. "Our Fusion shutters currently come in one variant: front-mounted," announces Costenoble.
"With the focus on energy-efficient and sustainable living in recent years, our range of solar-powered screens and shutters is particularly interesting," Costenoble believes. SolarFix, SolarBox and the new solar-powered Fusion shutter feature two solar panels discreetly integrated into the box. This can be done in four ways: standard symmetrical, standard asymmetrical, Black Belt and Colour. "Thanks to the unique 4 Ah battery, we also guarantee longer life and optimal operation even during the winter months," Costenoble said. This allows consumers to enjoy an optimally lit and/or darkened and ventilated home with a moderate temperature all year round - summer and winter.
In early March 2023, Winsol launched its SO! Universe launched. This makes it possible to upgrade the standard patio canopy into a pool house, garden office or "peranda. The latter form is a hybrid living solution between a pergola and a veranda. "The garden room, as we also like to call this version, significantly expands the outdoor living space and provides a pleasant indoor climate during every season," Costenoble said. But thanks to the extensive personalization options, all of Winsol's patio covers do just that, the CEO said.
For the SO! Universe initially choose from three roof types. The SO! Classic and SO! Climate slatted roofs with tilting slats are one solution, the SO! Cocoon fixed roof with wooden ceiling another. To make an outdoor living space completely wind and watertight, there are also a number of ambient walls available, which can be used to close off a terrace roof. From insulated glass sliding and fixed walls to wooden ones. End users who want even more comfort under their patio cover can opt for a number of technological gadgets. For example, lighting can be integrated into the roof of the patio cover in various ways, such as LED strips, but a true starry sky is also among the possibilities. Other options include integrated bluetooth speakers, heating, power outlets or USB ports.
