Winsol: 'The best of shutters and screens in one product'

Winsol's new Fusion and Solarfuse shutters received their baptism of fire at the R+T and were immediately rewarded with a gold R+T Innovation Award. 

The innovative Fusion and SolarFuse (the solar-powered version) combine the best features of shutters and screens in one product. This is made possible by the slim slats of only 15 mm in height with microperforations along the entire length. As a result, up to four times more daylight enters the home in the daylight position compared to traditional shutters, according to Winsol. As with screens, the microperforations improve ventilation and keep insects out. When the slats are fully closed, the new shutters look like classic shutters and provide blackout, insulation in summer and winter, burglary protection and noise reduction. Fusion shutters have a 230 V connection, while SolarFuse uses two solar panels built into the box. 

In addition to these new shutters, Winsol also showed at R+T three different types of patio covers from the company's SO! Universe range from the company. By combining them with different types of walls and possibly lighting, or other technological gadgets, the customer can completely compose his or her own canopy.
