Comfortable without a cable

Operating roller shutters and frame screens independently of the mains: it can be done!

With the Becker SolarKit, shutters and frame screens from Warema can be motorized without laborious wiring. This is of particular interest to specialist retailers at a time when the retrofit of shading systems is an issue. 

Many house and apartment owners want comfortable blinds but dread the installation work that such modernization entails. After all, in order to connect electrically operated roller shutters or frame screens to the power supply, cables have to be laid and, if necessary, wall slots cut. Not so with the Becker SolarKit: the motor with the solar panel enables Warema sun protection systems to operate independently of the mains. Additional advantage: a contribution is made to sustainability and the desired energy savings.

The SolarKit consists of a DC drive with a torque of 10 Nm, an integrated battery and a solar panel. It is operated wirelessly via an already taught-in one-channel hand-held transmitter included in the kit. A multi-channel handheld transmitter is also optionally available. With this, up to five roller shutters or frame screens can be operated. Thanks to the high efficiency of the solar cells, the battery is charged even in diffuse light, or when the panel is not optimally oriented. With a fully charged battery, the blinds can be opened and closed more than 100 times. Control and charging electronics are built into the drive. Stop and point end positions are adjustable. In addition, two freely selectable intermediate positions can be programmed.

No wall penetrations, electrical connection work or troublesome cabling are required for installation. This makes the SolarKit especially interesting for retrofitting sun protection systems. In addition, it offers the specialist trade attractive possibilities in the area of modernization. The product can be used with pre-wall and shaft shutters - for which the system is also available in a built-in version with a separate solar panel - and with frame screens.
