Easy to install and energy-saving

According to building and renovation regulations, buildings must meet strict energy performance requirements. Applying energy-efficient measures such as solar shading can help meet these requirements. Choosing the right solution plays a significant role here. SUYS, experienced Belgian roller shutter and screen manufacturer, underlines some distinctive aspects of their surface-mounted range: perfectly integrable shading solutions in thorough renovation and new construction.

In harmony with the interior

SUYS undividedly goes for appropriate design and is the only one to offer an inexhaustible range of films. After all, surface-mounted cabinets are primarily composed of PVC. By making available all finishing films, from white to black and every color in between, you can perfectly match both the exterior and interior view to the rest of the home. Optional aluminum faceplates, guides and bottom laths can be chosen and then painted in the best approximate color. SUYS surface-mounted units can also be plastered and remain accessible for inspection from below. In practice, however, for easy servicing afterwards, it is often opted to leave the cabinet accessible, and therefore visible. A big plus is that it can be finished in any foil that matches the interior. 

Slim and efficient design

The cabinets are particularly compact, which is aesthetically pleasing and does not infringe on appearance. SUYS manufactures its shutter profiles in-house, in Belgium. Due to the small roll-up diameter of their standard shutter profile BP42R, the Minirol® MONO rolls up in a small 185mm box, even for heights up to 2,400mm (max. 6m²). The Lockscreen® TOP always comes in a 165mm case and reaches up to 18m². Thanks to SUYS' innovative Lockscreen® technology, the fabric is tensioned at all times and the bottom rail is mounted to the fabric without a visible weld, visual details that contribute to a contemporary aesthetic. 

The sun as a cost-effective energy source

Solar shutters and screens have been a hot topic in the industry for a while, in cabinets that are mounted in front of windows or against the outside wall. Easy to install, energy-saving and with all the advantages of an electric control. With all these advantages, SUYS is now introducing a solar control for the Minirol® MONO and the Lockscreen® TOP. A separate solar panel is supplied which can be mounted in the most suitable place. The cable (standard 5m) is connected to the battery stored inside the cabinet. 

The energy performance of a building is cast in ever stricter rules, increasing the pressure on the end customer, who comes to seek a solution from building professionals. SUYS, with its new generation of surface-mounted screens and shutters, brings the answer to the question of how to save energy. However, by offering all finishing films and focusing on sleek and clean design, the aesthetic aspect is not lost sight of either.
