For more than a decade Coulisse BV from Enter and Lienesch BV from Haaksbergen have been working closely together. In 2012 they launched their first joint Honeycell collection. By now Honeycell products are sold all over the world. Building on the joint success, in February the fourth joint collection of Honeycell fabrics will be presented at the R+T in Stuttgart.
It is not only the functional advantages of Honeycell fabrics that make them often chosen as window coverings today. Obviously, benefits such as insulation, temperature regulation, light control and sound absorption are important. Today, however, because of the increased focus on ease of use and comfort, customers also consider it very important that products are easy to maintain and can be integrated into innovative control systems, they know at Lienesch. Every fabric in the Honeycell collection is therefore extensively tested before introduction in combination with various hardware systems in a wide variety of applications.
In addition, the sales share of sustainable fabrics is steadily increasing. Lienesch states that honeycomb fabrics, made from recycled polyester, for example, are qualitatively and decoratively inferior to traditionally produced window covering fabrics. In the new Honeycell collection, most of the fabrics are therefore made from post-consumer recycled polyester. These sustainable fabrics all bear the True® label for sustainable fabrics.
Window decoration fabrics bearing the True® label are by definition sustainable fabrics, made with honest, traceable materials and fair manufacturing processes. In addition, they are usually made from post-consumer recycled polyester. This means that they are made from plastic containers and bottles that have been discarded by consumers and collected back and processed into new yarns.
Commitment to sustainable, recycled window coverings fabrics is a positive development for both consumers and the environment is the view of both Lienesch and Coulisse. It reduces the impact on the ecosystem, promotes a circular economy and adds aesthetic value to interiors. By consciously choosing sustainable window coverings fabrics, everyone can contribute to a greener future without compromising on style and quality.
The Honeycell collection for 2024 features several new, luxurious fabrics in neutral and architectural colors. These include grays, taupe, ivory, off-white and various shades of brown that can mirror the colors of concrete, stone and marble. According to Lienesch, these shades fit well with modern architecture and give a sense of timelessness and elegance.
The supply of fabrics in larger cells has also been increased. In addition to the 20 and 25 mm cells, many fabrics are available with cell sizes of 32 and 45 mm. This shift results not only from the increased demand for larger cells in Western Europe and Scandinavia, but also because in addition to the fabrics we can also offer the hardware in the form of the Coulisse PLC38 system.
