A particularly slim and minimalist design, combined with the highest requirements in terms of thermal insulation and energy savings, with practical operation in daily use, is how SUNFLEX characterizes its new SF60 and SF80 sash windows.
The latest SUNFLEX sash windows are particularly characterized by particularly slim frame profiles. Thanks to an outer frame that can be recessed completely invisibly into the day, a sash frame of which only 21 mm is visible and a center post of only 30 mm wide, these systems create spaciousness and a smooth transition between inside and outside. This effect is enhanced by the fact that the bottom rail can be fully recessed into the floor, which also improves accessibility.
The layered construction of the sash windows with two or three overlapping panes nevertheless delivers high thermal insulation. With Uw-values from 0.8W/m2K, the SF80 even exceeds current requirements for energy-efficient houses. "With the SF60 and SF80, we now also offer our proven sliding mechanism in a thermally insulated and a highly thermally insulated version," explains Managing Director Dennis Schneider of SUNLEX Aluminiumsysteme GmbH. "The individual elements are pulled by integrated carriers and run particularly smoothly - even when heavy - thanks to the ball-bearing running wheels at the bottom. This makes them ideally suited for glass facades and conservatories."
The shape of the handles of the SF60 and SF80 sliding windows is flat and cubic. They are discreetly integrated into the frame and thus emphasize the design, Schneider believes. With the SF60 and SF80 sliding windows, users can choose the height, width and glass thickness of the sliding elements themselves. The elements can be individually selected up to a maximum weight of 800 kg per sash, with up to three rails installed in parallel.
In this way, up to six movable glass panels can be used, which can be opened to the left and/or right as required. This provides a maximum system width of more than 13 m (at a maximum system height of up to 4 m), thus allowing extremely large opening widths to be realized.
With glass thicknesses of up to 34 mm (SF60) or 54 mm (SF80) and optional steel reinforcements in the center post, the systems can withstand high wind loads and driving rain. The wind loads of the sliding wall systems have been tested according to DIN EN 1027:2016-09 and DIN EN 12208-2000-06 in class C3/B5 (SF60) and in class C5 (SF80). The driving rain density was tested according to DIN EN 1027:2016-09 and DIN EN 12208-2000-06 in class 9A (SF60) and class E750 (SF80). In addition, air permeability has been tested according to DIN EN 1027:2016-09 and DIN EN 12208-2000-06 in Class 4. Finally, standard installed mushroom locks contribute to burglary protection.
