'High-end solar porch or carport is real upgrade'

After the introduction a few years ago of the CUBO Classic, Sunparadise expanded its range with two patio covers, specially developed for the Benelux market: CUBO Ezie and Ezieroof. The latest addition to the range is the CUBO solar, a hig-end canopy with integrated solar panels that will be launched on the market soon.

The CUBO series from Sunparadise - specialists in canopy systems, as well as windows and doors and balcony glazing - has undergone strong development in recent years. "For example, both the CUBO Ezie and the Ezieroof are now also equipped with an intermediate pole, so that extra-wide sizes are possible," says Dirk Larivière of Sunparadise Belgium. "Moreover, both patio covers are now also available in virtually all RAL colors. The big advantage of these products is their fast assembly: in one day it is possible to install two canopies with two fitters."

As an attached or freestanding model

Following the success of the CUBO Ezie and Ezieroof, a variant with integrated solar panels will soon be launched on the market: the CUBO Solar. "This will be available as an attached model, but also as a free-standing carport or stand-alone in the garden," says Dirk. "Thanks in part to its elegant design, the CUBO Solar is a real upgrade for any home." To integrate the solar panels, Sunparadise has partnered with Dutch company Solarwood. "The solar panels from this specialized supplier are of the glass-on-glass type, which means they cannot burn through," Dirk explains. "There's a 30-year manufacturer's warranty on them for a reason."

Tinted glass

Speaking of trends, in the field of sliding glass walls, Dirk notes an increasing demand for fumed, or tinted, glass. "This not only allows you less visibility and thus more privacy, but it also has a solar control function. In addition, tinted glass promotes energy efficiency in the home."

The new terrace canopy CUBO Solar can be viewed by appointment in Sunparadise's Dutch showroom at Phileas Foggstraat 36 in Emmen. Sunparadise's Belgian showrooms are located at Oud-Strijdersstraat 74 in Herent and at Industrielaan 2 A in Deinze.
