GLISSE R glazing and Click Zip Crystal screens: For enjoying the outdoors in all seasons

GLISSE R is a tempered monolithic glass system with a minimalist design that has been patented multiple times. It is ideal as a side enclosure for the pergolas produced by Gibus, as well as for verandas or terraces." 

GLISSE R full glass system

GLISSE R is a full-glass system. It consists of panels without - aluminum - frames that can slide on parallel rails. GLISSE R can be equipped with panels made of tempered glass 10 or 12 mm thick. It is suitable for protecting outdoor areas and has an atmosphere-enhancing effect, according to Westenbrink. The new glass system is available in different configurations and opening on the side(s) or centrally. The GLISSE R can be produced in different sizes, tailored exactly to customer requirements. It is also important to mention that the version that opens on the side can be equipped with five sashes and can then close off a width of 7.20 m. In the version that opens in the middle (possible with four, six, eight or ten panels, with up to five tracks; opening from both sides), even a width of 14 m can be closed with ten wings. Considerable dimensions can also be realized in height, with this solution going up to 3 m high. 

The aluminum rails of the GLISSE R are "embraced", so to speak, by the lower glazing profile. This hides the patented mechanical sliding rail system from view and also reduces the risk of drafts along the bottom edge of the glazing. 

Crystal cloth

"An interesting alternative to glazing, with a different aesthetic tone, are Click Zip screens with crystal cloth," Westenbrink believes. "Crystal cloth is a completely transparent PVC cloth, which, while maintaining an excellent view to the outside, can also provide effective protection against rain, wind and humidity. With Gibus' know-how, vertical screens have been made with it, which can be used to screen off space under a pergola, but also porches or terraces, for example." 

Click Zip screens

Of course, standard Gibus Click Zip screens with screen cloth can also be used to close off the sides of Gibus canopies. They are available in various models, with and without a visible cassette. The innovative Gibus ZIP technology ensures not only perfect guidance of the fabric, but also effective wind resistance and high-level side sealing, making the screens also insect-resistant.

Mag Lock

The patented Mag Lock system ensures the exceptional vertical tension of the fabric, Westenbrink explains. "On the inside of the fabric frame of the screens is a magnet with a force of 100 Nm that, once the fabric is lowered, engages with magnets integrated into the base of the blinds. Thanks to this system, Click Zip screens not only have an impressive aesthetic effect because they are so tight, but also a Class 6 wind resistance rating." 

Gibus' screens are made of powder-coated aluminum and available in thirty different colors. They can be manually moved or motorized, and they can be equipped with the Microspot LED system to provide outdoor spaces with both ambient and functional lighting.
