Elisabeth Eiböck, marketing and communications manager of Sattler SUN-TEX, had only a short time at R+T to speak with Z+R. There was a good reason for that, as it was pleasantly busy at the booth. "We are very happy to see all our customers again, especially those from abroad. Many of our customers from Asia and Australia also traveled to Stuttgart."
At the fair, the focus was again on the Elements OEKO WEAVE collection, with 30% of the fabrics consisting of so-called transition fibers. "During the spinning process, fibers are created in the transition between two colors that are not pure in color," said Elisabeth Eiböck. "They are usually sorted out and processed into low-value products. We collect them, sort them and spin them into high-quality yarns. The yarns are then used to make fabrics with a beautiful blended effect."
This product was developed as part Sattler SUN-TEX's overall sustainability project TheGreen Chain. Those efforts have resulted in the company being allowed to carry the OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN label since the end of 2023. "This is not only related to our PFAS-free products, or products in general. This label also stands for the way we treat our employees. We are therefore very proud of it!"
