Guillaume Janssen introduces own acrylic cloth collection

Guillaume Janssen has long been known as a manufacturer of special sun protection systems. The company's second pillar, the independent ready-to-wear atelier, is now more emphatically highlighted with the introduction of the entirely proprietary acrylic cloth collection GJ - Solar Pro cloth collection. 

"The GJ - Solar Pro cloth collection was born from a collaboration between cloth manufacturer Sauleda and Guillaume Janssen," says managing director Jos Stoit, who has been at the helm of Guillaume Janssen since 2021. "As one of the last independent cloth confectioners within the Benelux, customers expect us to offer a full range of all existing cloth collections. Needless to say, we supply those as well. In addition, we are now responding to the increasing demand from our customers to offer them a suitable alternative to other cloth suppliers." 

Founded in 1967, Guillaume Janssen began as a trading company in components for sunshades. "In the mid-2000s we began to specialize in the production of special awning systems, with which the company continued to grow in the European and international markets," Stoit said. "In addition to the production of special awning systems, Guillaume Janssen also has a completely independent confection workshop. With this pillar, we want to profile ourselves more emphatically in the coming years. This is why we are now launching our own acrylic collection with the GJ - Solar Pro collection, in order to respond to market demand." 

The GJ - Solar Pro Cloth Collection has a wide variety of as many as 72 colors, 24 of which are available in larger roll widths. Some of 20 designs are available in the Solrain version with an extra high water column. Some 20 cloths from this collection are available in a special, air-filtering version. "We market this unique cloth under the name SAULEDA GREEN by Guillaume Jansen," explains Stoit. "It is the first awning fabric that purifies the air through photocatalysis!" 

With this balanced collection, Guillaume Janssen is able to supply the entire sun protection industry with the right type of cloth, Stoit believes. "You name it: modern colors for the assemblers of articulated arm and terrace screens, project colors on large roll widths for the replacement market, waterproof cloths for hospitality awnings and some more traditional colors for awnings and canopies.
