Innovation in drive and control

The Nice Group specializes in automation systems for gates, garage doors, barrier systems, blinds and shutters. "Our goal is always to improve the quality of everyday life," says International Sales Director - Sun Shading Solutions, Romain Aliamus. "Our ultra-quiet motors and the Yubii smart home system are unique in the market."

The Nice Group was founded in the early 1990s and now operates in virtually all parts of the world. "We are one of the few companies in the world that can offer a complete range of integrated automation systems for every residential and commercial application, controlled by just one transmitter. From our factories in Germany and Italy, we provide tailor-made solutions."

An important moment in the company's development was the acquisition of elero, the German manufacturer of motors and controls for awnings. "We are therefore able to offer customized solutions for indoor blinds and curtains, but we also specialize in transmitters and smart sensors. In addition, we have our own test center, where we test and improve our products." 

All sun shading systems from the various brands within the Nice Group (elero, Nice and TTGO) were brought together under the Nice the Sun Shading Solutions Business Unit in 2021. 

Ultra quiet and perfectly aligned

"The Era Inn motors from elero are unique and really offer something other companies can't. They are among the quietest motors in the industry. They also have perfect alignment. There are several variants: Era Inn Edge - the most complete, Era Inn Smart - the second most complete and Era Inn Action - the "entry-level" model of the Era Inn family. Recently, the Era series was further complemented by the Nice Era Inn Edge S Li-ion wireless rechargeable battery motor." 

So the motors have a very quiet braking system and a quiet gearbox. However, a high-speed motor is also available (1.5 Nm, 70 rpm) for even less noise. 

In the quest to make life easier for customers and end users, the smart home story plays an important role at Nice. "Smart blinds that take into account the position of the sun to open or close, set scenarios, the combination with smart sensors or our camera range, they can all help people. In the end, they save money and energy." 

With light, temperature or climate sensors from the Nice Domì series, products become smart and then integrated into the Nice Smart Home system.

Open system with easy configuration

Unlike many other brands, Yubii Home or Yubii Home Pro gateways offer customers an open smart home system, configured and controlled with the Yubii Home App. "We strive for differentiation rather than competition. Other brands can also connect users to our system using known protocols. In the background, Yubii makes sure everything works hassle-free as it should." 

The gateways are always installed by professionals, says Aliamus. "We believe in the best service and therefore deliberately do not choose DIY, instead we work with partners who completely unburden our customers."
