Wonnink Zonwering joins VZR Group: cooperation makes stronger

VZR Group, owner of Veldhuis Zonwering, among others, is very pleased to announce that, effective September 12, 2024, it has acquired all shares in Wonnink Zonwering. Through this strategic acquisition, Wonnink and its new partners within the VZR Group intend to further grow into a leading organization in the market. With the addition of Wonnink, VZR Group strengthens its position as one of the largest sun protection installers in the Netherlands.

Wonnink, founded in 1969, is a solar shading installer active in residential solar shading, project solar shading and maintenance. From their showroom and office in Amersfoort, they help their customers with all their issues regarding sustainability and light and heat protection. Wonnink is known for its focus on quality and customer satisfaction and has therefore been voted best sun protection company of the year several times.

"We are very excited to become part of the VZR Group. We have known the VZR Group for a long time and have a similar culture. This cooperation allows us to take advantage of the expertise present within the group to serve our customers even better. In addition, the cooperation also provides opportunities for further professionalization and growth opportunities for our staff," said former owner Ries de Jong.

In addition to the earlier acquisition of Zonwering-Nederland, and the establishment of its controlling branch Best Controls, VZR Group continues to grow to more than 150 employees with the addition of Wonnink and its more than 40 new colleagues. "Wonnink is a great company that is well known in the market. We are very pleased with their arrival and look forward to working intensively together. With this addition, we gain a strategic location centrally in the country. This will allow us to better serve our customers and reduce drive times" says Nando Slijkerman of VZR Group.

Wonnink will remain based in Amersfoort and continue to operate under its own name. We confidently look forward to the future, and to working together with the Wonnink team and its clients.
