Richelle den Hartog is an interior stylist at Luxaflex® and explains, "In 2023 we already signaled this trend, but in 2024 we are literally embracing organic forms. It really forms the basis of the interior. This trend can be found in everything, think of an armchair or sofa, but also in lamps and tables. Do you want to make a less big statement and prefer small gestures? There are a host of accessories in organic shapes, think vases, a side table or a candlestick. In such an interior, beautiful, undulating, supple curtains the perfect match. They provide good acoustics and warmth in the interior. Tip: combine curtains with a roller blind with an organic print. We call this trend layering."
"It is becoming increasingly important to create a place at home where you can truly unwind. So this year, comfort and a longing for nature are clear elements in interior design. With natural materials and colors, you bring nature and the soothing outdoor feeling inside. Think wooden blinds in a natural shade. The new collection wooden blinds is available in different shades and types of unpainted wood to achieve this pure look. In particular, the range of bamboo blinds has expanded considerably. With these you create a light, modern look," says Richelle.
Smart window coverings are also becoming increasingly popular, and this trend continues into 2024. Not only does it contribute to home security, but it also offers comfort. With the control system PowerView®automation, wooden blinds and curtains are remotely controlled and you come home after a long day in a setting you set yourself.
Interior stylist Richelle explains: "Sustainability is often mentioned as a trend, but at Luxaflex® it really is the norm. Thanks to innovations in the production process, each new collection becomes more and more sustainable. In the new wood blind collection, for example, the imitation wood plastic slat no longer contains PVC, but polystyrene. This sturdier material makes your blinds last longer and the fabric is less harmful to the environment. Moreover, for the new collection, wood with the FSC label was again considered as much as possible. The collection is very suitable for the bathroom because the slats do not warp and the blinds provide sufficient privacy."
The curtain and Roman blinds collections have also received a sustainability upgrade. Three new plain curtain fabrics have been introduced, all made from recycled polyester from PET bottles. Less CO2 is emitted during the production process and less water is consumed. The fabrics are available in different styles and a range of colors to match current trends.
Many people find it difficult to choose from all the different types of window decoration. Fortunately, combining window decorations is very contemporary. By hanging different types of window decoration together, such as curtains and blinds, you can create a stylish and well-insulated interior. Curtains and wooden blinds are also a perfect match. Finally, dare to play with different colors and designs for a statement interior.
