SUNFLEX: 'The cubist SF300 patio canopy is also very suitable for the hospitality industry'

To allow even more variety in terrace design, SUNFLEX Aluminiumsysteme GmbH has developed the SF300 terrace canopy. "The SF300 impresses with its cube shape and adapts particularly well to modern, linear building styles, but also combines excellently with buildings of traditional architecture," said SUNFLEX managing director Dennis Schneider. 

"The roof pitch of the SF300 is only 2°, but rainwater is still discharged in a targeted manner. Concealed downspouts and different versions of the rainwater drain ensure reliable drainage of the roof," explains Schneider. "Because the roof surface is discreetly hidden behind a 300 mm high, horizontal frame all around, the slope of the roof is not visible from the outside. This creates a cubist - horizontal - and elegant appearance." 

Like all SUNFLEX patio covers, the SF300 is made entirely of aluminum. "The material properties make the canopy extremely weather-resistant and durable," Schneider knows. "If it is necessary for statics, for example in areas with heavy snowfall, the profiles can be reinforced with steel inserts, allowing a snow load of more than 350 kg/m2." 

The SF300 has a low roof overhang with drip edge to minimize contamination of any glass walls or vertical awnings and has no visible screw connections. Size, color, equipment and technical details can be chosen individually by the hospitality operator to achieve the desired look and comfort. The integrated lighting channel provides space for LED spotlights to allow the canopy to be used even when it is dim or dark. "The entrepreneur who combines our SF300 patio canopy with our sliding or sliding-turn systems creates optimum protection for his guests even in rain and strong winds," concludes Schneider. "The result is a comfortable terrace not only in summer, but also in the other seasons." 

Like all SUNFLEX terrace canopies, the SF300 can be tailored in shape and size to the needs of the hospitality operator. Thus, the canopy can be connected almost infinitely. A free-standing version of the SF300 is in development and is expected soon. The same applies to the option of placing the uprights out of the corners.
