Solero supports growth with expansion of new location

On April 1, 2004 Solero Parasols was founded by Helga van Keulen. On a relatively small location of 600m2 at the Magazijnweg in Best, the development and sales of our innovative parasols with lighting was started.

After decades of working as the director of an awning company, she decided to take the plunge, risking everything to make the Solero dream a reality.

The first years were mainly very hard work as a self-employed person without staff. Thanks in part to the help of our - mainly regional awning dealers - from the very beginning, the idea of Solero quickly became viable.

In 2009 the location at the Magazijnweg became too small, and Solero moved to the new 2500m2 location at the Industrieweg in Best. In this more spacious facility, the plans continued, and Solero started to focus more and more on internationalization, professionalization, and export.

As you can see from the country flags on our website, Solero is now available in 8 languages, and our high-quality parasols can be delivered all over Europe - and even far beyond. Our team also speaks quite a bit abroad. You can contact us by phone in Spanish, French, German, English and Polish.

In recent years we have noticed, that the wishes of our customers are increasing. Where in 2004 it was still acceptable to wait several weeks or months for the product to be delivered, in this twenty-four hour economy the customer counts on a super fast delivery. To meet this demand, Solero has invested heavily in the depth of its range.

The business space at Maas 34-36 has been expanded to over 7500m2. In our renovated and more modern warehouses the parasols are carefully checked, packed, and put on transport. Within the Netherlands, orders are often delivered the very next working day.

Whereas until 2010 the assortment consisted of only 4 products, today we have 23 different parasols. All these parasols are available in at least 4 colors, but often the choice of colors is much more extensive. Our range has also expanded to include special heating and lighting for the parasols.

In April 2022, Solero will also open an atmospheric and interactive inspiration center where customers can receive personalized advice by appointment and view and test all products.

As a family business, we value a nice, homely and familiar working environment for our people. When you walk into Solero, you will notice that the Solero team is not just a group of employees, but that there is a real 'we-feeling'.

For example, at our new location there will be multiple modern kitchens, a gym, shower rooms, spacious flex workstations with stand-up desks, and room for personal growth.

At Solero, we don't see growth as a goal. In our vision, growth follows naturally when we do something right. We like to do what is expected of us, and prefer to exceed expectations rather than fall short. The reviews we receive from our satisfied customers are the best advertisement we could wish for.

With our new location, we hope to be able to serve you as a customer even better. We expect to move completely to our new location at Maas 34-36 in Best as of April 1 (no joke, exactly 18 years after founding).
