ROMA: 'Polyclose is the most important trade fair for us in the Benelux'

Last year at Polyclose, ROMA introduced a new booth concept that has now become the standard for the entire ROMA organization. It will again form the basis for ROMA's presentation in Ghent in 2024. "Little will therefore change at the ROMA booth," notes Toon van Osta, "except of course that we will again come with new products and product improvements, as the sun protection specialists know us. After all, the large ROMA organization is constantly expanding and improving its product range. That's what people expect from us!" 

"Participating every edition is a must for us to be able to maintain and strengthen our strong position in the market for roller shutters and sun blinds in the Benelux, but also our position within Polyclose as a prominent exhibitor with a ditto position on the show floor." After some 23 years of Polyclose, Toon van Osta knows by now how the game is played. Knowledge and experience that he has transferred over time to son Danny, who has been in charge of organizing and planning the Polyclose fair for seven years. 

In addition to planning the booth, his duties include the food - "always of a high standard" - and also organizing the party night, with which ROMA has now built a reputation. In the past, appealing artists such as Maan and Romy Monteiro have made their smashing appearance at ROMA's stand at Polyclose! 

"The organization of the whole 'hosptality story' is well entrusted to Danny," Van Osta is decided. "In doing so, he has already earned his spurs. In addition, ROMA will again do a nice job of presenting visitors to the booth with all possible product information and news. In the area of screens, shutters and exterior blinds, ROMA will undoubtedly steal the show again; there is no doubt in my mind. Our position is unchanged strong and at ROMA we work extremely hard every day to make sure it stays that way!" 

Scholarship year 2024

"Shine at Polyclose in January and then bang again at the R+T in February," is how Toon van Osta characterizes the 2024 trade fair year in his own way. "At the R+T in Stuttgart and we will traditionally present ourselves with a mega-stand and also again present the necessary innovations."
