With the new Fixscreen Minimal Solar, Renson now also has a front-mounted screen with solar cell in the Minimal range of its Fixscreen cloth awnings. With a minimalist and cleanly finished fabric box measuring 115 x 90 mm and side guides barely 20 mm wide, this screen does not protrude in front of the glass during post-installation on existing standard (sliding) windows. Moreover, thanks to the solar cell on the fabric box, no electrical connection is required. Drilling, breaking or cutting work to connect a power cable and electrical work to add an extra socket is therefore not an issue during installation. This completely screwless plug-and-play system can therefore be installed quickly and easily, with the installer no longer even needing to be inside to connect a screen.
Installation is very simple, according to Renson. "Simply mount the side guides correctly, slide the fabric box - which does not need to be additionally secured - into place and connect it to the guides via the adjustable mounting pins, and finish the side guides with the screwless profiles." To make a Fixscreen Minimal Solar ready for use, even the fabric box no longer needs to be opened. Connection to the built-in battery is established by removing the foil from the case.
According to Renson, these features make this new solar powered screen the renovation screen of choice for post-installation on existing windows with slim profiles: individually up to 10 m², but also connected in pairs with a maximum total width of 8 m (20 m²). Also convenient is that the fabric is completely screwless removable from the outside, making it easily accessible for any interventions after installation.
