From January 14 to 17, 2025, Frankfurt will once again host the largest international trade fair for interior textiles: Heimtextil. With more than 2,900 exhibitors from 60 countries, this event aims to be a global source of inspiration for everyone working in the textile industry.
Heimtextil is the place to stay up to date on the latest trends, technologies and products within the interior textile industry. The event offers an extensive range of textile products, from fibers and yarns to finished end products. Visitors here can learn about a diverse range of materials, colors and innovations.
For professionals in the shading sector, the focus will be on Hall 3.1, where the main players in window & interior decoration will come together. Here, leading exhibitors will present their latest products in the field of sun protection and curtains. From Germany, for example, will come Aerlox, with fixing methods for interior blinds, and sun protection specialists Kadeco Sonnenschutzsysteme and MHZ. The French weaver Lindner is also present. From the Netherlands, exhibitors include Forest Group, which specializes in curtain rail systems, and textile companies Egger, Holland Haag and Raymakers. From Belgium come exhibitors Boelaert & Moens, Flocart, Verstraete & Verbauwede, De Poortere Frères S.A. and Indetex.
In addition to the aforementioned exhibitors, Hall 3.1 also features the Design Lounge, powered by the German DecoTeam. Here, companies such as Fine Textilverlag, Kobe Interior and Kadeco present their textile solutions for window coverings and interior decoration. This lounge offers a joint presentation of the latest trends and products.
Heimtextil is known for its trend presentations, which can be found in Hall 3.0. This year, for the first time, the trend presentation will be curated by Milan-based design platform Alcova. In the past, design studios usually took three or four trends as their starting point, each with its own color palette. With "Future Continuous," Alcova is doing this differently; the company wants to take visitors into the stories that textiles tell. The presentation reveals the central role that textiles play in technological, cultural and ecological developments. Through six inspiring interviews with international designers, textile researchers and representatives of associations and institutions from their network, textile industries are given a voice and their stories are brought to life. From this, a visionary color palette also emerged. These colors have all been given an evocative name that immediately describes what hue is involved, without even seeing the color itself. From "natural uneven green" to "the end of petrol" and "imperfect pink.
In terms of trends, the installation by renowned designer and architect Patricia Urquiola is also likely to be a major draw. Her project "Among Us" combines interior design with hospitality and puts people and the immersive experience at the center. This unique installation can be found in Hall 12.0.
Sustainability is once again an important theme at Heimtextil. This is reflected, among other things, in label Econogy, which for the second time provides an umbrella for all sustainability activities within the textile industry. It is an important means for visitors to gain insight into how exhibitors deal with sustainability. Exhibitors who meet a minimum number of ESG/SDG-compliant standards are marked with a special seal of approval and are included in the Econogy FINDER, a handy tool that helps visitors find sustainable products and companies. In addition, the Econogy Hub is a meeting place for providers of certifications and sustainable solutions, and Econogy Talks and Tours will take place during Heimtextil.
For architects, interior designers and project designers, Heimtextil offers a comprehensive program with the Interior.Architecture.Hospitality section. Here, functional textile solutions are presented that perfectly match the requirements of the contract market. Think textiles that are hard-wearing, antimicrobial or fire-resistant - essential for projects in the hospitality, healthcare or office environments. Hall 4.0 houses the Interior.Architecture.Hospitality LIBRARY, where an exciting selection of functional textiles can be admired.
