Without customers, no business.
Without customers, there is no running production.
Without clients, there are no buzzing offices.
No marketing manager at Brustor without customers, writing this Pen at my desk with a streak of sunlight on my face. (Thankfully, courtesy of the solar screens, the temperature remains under control.)
Who ís the customer? Who gets this honorable title? As a marketing manager, I often find myself in the pleasant company of my colleagues from the sales corner. This question is the perfect topic for a lively discussion. So grab your sunglasses and join me on this customer journey.
From the sales managers' point of view, the customer is the dealer, the partner from our dealer network. In early 2024, both Polyclose and R+T are on the agenda, both very important events in our sector. We take the opportunity to network with existing customers, to meet potential new partners, and we proudly present our innovations in the field of patio covers, screens, awnings and verandas. On days like these, our partners take center stage more than ever and assume the customer role. And of course I can't blame sales, because without dealers no Brustor awnings are sold.
My view on this, however, is slightly different. For me, the end customer is the one and only customer. For that we go back to the garden, where we all want to enjoy the sun, but in the shade. To create a cozy corner where you can stay all year round. A (literally then) hot lead waiting for an innovative awning solution. Without end customers with an awning dream, Brustor would not exist.
Although our views may seem contradictory at first, they just complement each other very nicely. The interaction between partners, sales and marketing efforts and the end user is precisely what makes our B2B2C business model so strong. It's what we do.
A seamless collaboration between sales and marketing with the end customer as the central factor. When we join forces with our partners, we can focus on the customer experience. Getting end customers to enjoy the sun, in the shade is what we strive for.
That is what I am doing right now, as I am blessed with a spot at the window of our landscape office. A perfect vantage point on the comings and goings of contacts, suppliers and customers. Er customers? I mean partners, of course.
Sunny greetings!
