Simple, intuitive, constantly updated and in dialogue with a range of other services reserved for dealers: this is how Maker could be described in a nutshell. The system that allows Gibus Ateliers to configure pergolas and awnings and order them as easily as within a functional e-commerce. We talk about this with Martijn Westenbrink, General Manager Gibus NL BV.
In order to be ever closer to the network of authorized and selected resellers - the Gibus Ateliers - and at the same time guarantee an outstanding service chain, the Gibus Group has been making the new Maker product configurator available to partners in the region for several months. With Maker, an advanced integrated 3D technology, the retailer can configure the chosen solution quickly and precisely, directly in front of the customer and show him step by step the creation of the product based on the selected features. "He can also create a detailed quotation, summarized in a simple pdf, including images, descriptions and, of course, the cost. And that's not all: the system allows the partner to order any product, whether more or less complex, or multiple products together," Martijn says.
"'Maker' is the evolution of earlier systems that we were among the first in the industry to make available to our Gibus Ateliers at the European level years ago," Martijn explains. "However, this new version is completely updated in terms of technology and is an integral part of a broader digital experience we wanted to create for our partners: it is accessible within a reserved area for the retailer and can interact with a whole range of additional services, such as the offers section and lead and order management."
Maker is an integrated 3D configurator, the general manager explains. "As our partner, guided by the customer, configures the product, it is displayed and becomes increasingly detailed as features are added. The retailer starts by selecting the desired product family, then goes to the subfamily, chooses the configuration, dimensions and then fabrics, colors, accessories and various options. This method of construction allows the system to change the configuration during the process, immediately providing a different display and price. Moreover, everything is constantly updated, so if, for example, a fabric is no longer available for a particular awning, Maker no longer offers the option to select that fabric. It's essentially a foolproof technology."
Constantly updated and developed by a dedicated team, this system is very popular with Gibus Ateliers.
"Our partners have received the new configurator very positively," Martijn confirms. "The system is simple, intuitive and works like e-commerce: once the customized quotation stored in Maker is confirmed by the customer, the dealer can order everything directly from the system. In the process, ordering information can also be integrated that can increase service efficiency. To give an example, if the customer has ordered multiple Click Zips that are custom-made for the different windows of the house, the partner can write in Maker exactly where each individual screen is to be installed, simplifying the management of work on the construction site."
