Why should you, as a reader of Z&R, travel to Frankfurt from January 14 to 17, 2025 to visit Heimtextil trade fair? We put this question, and others, to Bettina Bär, director of Heimtextil. She talked about the importance of the Window & Interior Decoration segment for the fair and what Heimtextil has to offer visitors and exhibitors.
"Hall 3.1 is the place where visitors will find everything from curtains, curtain fabrics, track systems and blinds," begins Bär. "Whether retailers, interior designers and architects, furnishers or contract decorators - all target groups are catered for. The creative designs and innovative applications appeal to a wide audience."
For the 2025 edition, Heimtextil wants to further strengthen this dynamic. Bär: "We have managed to connect an impressive number of renowned international companies to our fair. Think of Aerolux from Germany, Forest Group from the Netherlands and Küçükçalık Tekstil from Turkey. Names like these show how broad and advanced this segment is."
In addition to individual exhibitors, DecoTeam plays a key role in Hall 3.1. "They present inspiring designs and unexpected color combinations that offer professionals new perspectives." New this year is the Design Lounge, powered by DecoTeam. Here, companies such as Kadeco shading systems and Designers Guild jointly present their products in an inspiring setting.
"It is the combination of inspiration, networking opportunities and concrete business opportunities that makes Heimtextil special," says Bär. "With our exhibitors, partners and innovative programs, we ensure that sun protection and window decoration are given a prominent stage."
Bär has an important tip for all visitors; "Discover the synergy between textiles and trends! The Heimtextil Trends 25/26 are the common thread of the fair. This year they are presented by Alcova, a progressive design platform from Milan. Under the theme "Future Continuous," they explore how traditions and new technologies reinforce each other. Visitors can discover these trends in our Trend Arena in Hall 3.0."
In addition, this year there is a special contribution from Patricia Urquiola. Her installation in Hall 12.0 is an absolute must-see and allows visitors to experience textiles in a sensory way. This project, called 'among us,' shows how textiles can be not only a practical, but also an artistic element."
"Heimtextil is the ideal platform for global visibility," Bär explains. "In addition to their booths, exhibitors can participate in our Trend Arena. Here, products are presented in an innovative way, as part of the future vision for the industry."
There are also specific programs such as the Interior.Architecture.Hospitality Library in Hall 4.0. "This is a unique opportunity for companies to present their materials to interior designers and hospitality professionals," she continued. "Exhibitors with sustainable solutions will also receive extra attention through our special interest programs. This attracts top buyers looking for innovative and sustainable products."
