Marquesas Netherlands: 'Being able to speak to everyone well'

It was a good time at the bar at Marquesas Netherlands during Polyclose. "That's what you're at a trade show for, too," laughs Johan Hol. "You want to receive your guests correctly to show off your product, but also to have a nice conversation and exchange thoughts freely." 

Yet Johan also cracks a critical note. "I find it unfortunate that a number of major parties in the industry, such as Somfy and Dickson, are missing from Polyclose. After all, these are the companies and brands that attract many visitors. I can't speak for them, of course, but shouldn't they want to embrace Polyclose a little more? In addition, the date of the fair was perhaps somewhat unfortunate: the R+T takes place quite soon after." 

At the same time, Johan, like his associate Aart van de Berg, looking back on three days of Ghent, is not dissatisfied. "There were five of us at Polyclose and we were therefore able to speak to everyone properly. We did just that! For example, we were able to once again highlight the powder coating, which we have been doing in-house for some time, and we were also able to showcase the additions to our products - from tubes to new profiles - excellently. In addition, we also think it's important that all the talks we had about this were high quality."
