Innovation is a key to success for any company. "Brustor may have grown over the years into an internationally strong player in the sun protection market, but even today our R&D department is constantly developing new solutions and optimizing existing products," said sales manager Maxim Devos.
He says this is necessary to further strengthen Brustor's position in outdoor living, among other areas. The dealers, together with the sales team and Product Managers, are the eyes and ears in the market. Their voice is the basis for further expansion and improvement of the range. Maxim Devos takes Z&R readers on a tour of the new developments in terrace coverings: B128 XL, B720 and B800.
The B128 Pergola combines the benefits of an awning with the advantages of a patio cover. In this minimalist terrace cover that is attached to the house, the roof fabric is electrically rolled up based on zipscreen technology. This creates a panoramic view of the garden and plenty of light into the house. "We have also recently introduced the new B128 XL, where optional built-in screens in the beams at the front and sides allow consumers to completely close off this pergola," Devos says. "A projection of up to 6 meters and options such as patio heating, dimmable spotlights in the horizontal cross beams and LED lighting in side rails and support beam make this canopy interesting not only for individuals but also for the hospitality industry."
Brustor considers the B700 collection to be the new standard among patio awnings. While the basic version consists of a closed roof, suitable for glass or sandwich panels, Brustor goes a step further with the B720. "In this innovative patio cover, we combine a fixed roof section in glass or sandwich panels with a roof section consisting of tilting slats. This creates a pleasant outdoor terrace as well as a dry space for placing furniture, a bar, an outdoor kitchen or simply garden equipment. The skylight also allows daylight into the house when the slats of the roof are closed," explains the sales manager. "This canopy is linkable and can be optionally equipped with integrated Brustor ZIP screens, dimmable LED spotlights in frame, intermediate girder and slats, patio heating, power outlets and bluetooth speakers."
According to Devos, the new B800 aluminum patio canopy with glass roof offers the best of both worlds: an attached patio roof, which also guarantees the entry of natural light into the home at all times. "The cubist look and robust structure of this new solution results in a sleek whole with glass panels discreetly sloped to drain rainwater. This canopy can be perfectly custom configured for each customer, for example with an overhead awning for the summer months or a patio heater for the winter period. Of course, it can be fully enclosed with optionally integrated Brustor ZIP screens."
"With the launch of this B800, today we offer the most complete range of patio covers in the market and can offer our dealers a solution for the most diverse requests," Devos concludes. "In December, we further highlighted this innovation to our Belgian dealers. Today, the first pilot dealers in Belgium are using it, but the demand for such cubic glass roofs still remains greatest in the Netherlands today."
