In the wake of exploding energy costs, the demand for efficient products is being raised again. Even so-called low energy consumption is becoming relevant. Berner Torantriebe, Rottenburg, now points out in a model calculation that the installation of energy-saving drives is more worthwhile than ever. This is because the cost of consuming the system is becoming increasingly important in the calculation.
Berner made the calculation using the GA203 garage door operator as an example. The calculation example shows that a conventional door operator with a transformer and power consumption of about 6 watts costs at least 20 euros annually in energy consumption. The GA203 system, optimized by the Rottenburg company in terms of energy consumption, consumes less than two euros per year for the same number of motion cycles.
The manufacturer's other gate openers are also now fully equipped for economical energy consumption. Swing and sliding gate openers of the DA and C series operate with energy-saving switching power supplies that consume less than 0.5 watts on standby. When light is required for gate operation, Berner relies entirely on efficient LED technology. The power consumption of a gate also largely depends on its ease of movement. The materials used, such as aluminum and PA6 plastic for the rollers in Berner's entrance gates, guarantee optimal operation, durability and, therefore, durability.
In our own company, just as much attention is paid to energy efficiency. In addition to raising the awareness of all employees and lowering the room temperature in all areas, Berner relies on recycling measures, working paperless, even in contact with customers, and widely avoiding business trips through the use of modern electronic communications. Even drinks are traditionally offered exclusively in sustainable glass bottles at Berner. The annual CO2 balance sheet (Carbon Footprint) via the
Hörmann project with compensation measures round out the Rottenburg company's efforts toward sustainable operations.
