AVIASTA® and Clipzip®: Designed and developed with specific thermoplastic materials to improve the functionality of shading systems

At Polyclose 2022, Switzerland's Plastex was a notable newcomer to the shading industry. The company specializes in plastic extrusion and injection molding and works for a variety of industries, including solar shading. AVIASTA® - after the Greek word for effortless - and Clipzip® are the company's products that provide sleek zipscreens.

The patented AVIASTA® is an effective solution for quickly, easily and safely attaching or removing a screen fabric from the fabric tube. The work can be done bottom-up, without having to dismantle the blinds. Once the fabric is attached to the fabric tube, the installer can adjust the fabric length at will. AVIASTA® is available in two versions, one for initial fabric installation and one for fabric replacement.

Besides ease of (de)mounting, the use of AVIASTA® also offers aesthetic advantages. Attaching a screen fabric to the fabric tube often causes unsightly horizontal printing lines in the fabric. However, the AVIASTA® mounting strips are designed in such a way that they do not cause any unevenness on the fabric tube, so that no impression lines form in the fabric.

AVIASTA® is not only innovative, it is also produced sustainably. Plastex attaches great importance to this because the company is convinced that sustainability is the future. AVIASTA® will be launched in the first quarter of 2023 and marketed worldwide.

The ClipZip® contributes to tight screen cloths, with AVIASTA® a screen cloth can be easily attached to the cloth tube.

ClipZip®

Recently, Plastex has been working on an updated side guide made of thermoplastic material, with precise markings along its length for mounting springs or "clips" to ensure tight zipscreens. The result is the ClipZip® system.

The cleverly designed, expertly injection-molded clips made from high-quality raw materials are available in the three versions Biflex, Maxi and Mini. They make the ClipZip® system easily applicable to any zipscreen system, for example, to adapt its functionality to specific conditions, such as high and/or sustained winds. The result is zipscreens with impeccable fabric tension.

The clips are made from materials that comply with RoHS and REACH regulations. They have been tested for 500,000 cycles, equivalent to five movements per hour for ten years.
