SELVE will introduce the SE Solar-com, a new solar-powered motor for shutters, in the fall of 2024. This innovative system operates completely independently without a power connection, making it ideal for renovation and retrofit projects. It uses solar energy stored in a long-lasting nickel-metal hydride battery, making installation simple and cable-free. This saves both time and cost.

The SE Solar-com opens up new business opportunities for specialist retailers as the demand for environmentally friendly and energy-efficient solutions continues to grow. The system continues to function even in diffused light, allowing shutters to be operated smoothly even on cloudy days and in winter. In addition, SELVE offers the option of adding an additional charging option via an external charging port.

An additional advantage is the motor's whisper-quiet mode, which ensures minimal noise. The system is compatible with SELVE's smart control systems, such as the commeo function, making operation - as mentioned above - simple and convenient. 

From the first quarter of 2025, a more powerful model will also be available for larger window surfaces, with a 20 Nm motor. SELVE is supporting the launch with special sales promotions, demonstration videos and a new brochure so that specialist dealers can take full advantage of this sustainable innovation.
