BREL HOME innovates, combines and celebrates

Reinoud Arts and Erik Budding started their collaboration twelve and a half years ago. "Under the BREL HOME banner, the motorization of awnings then took off," Budding observes. "As true pioneers, we came up with novelties time and again and were able to convince the market of the added value of the convenience of motorizing exterior and interior blinds. The smart linking of different technologies contributes to this, such as the bi-directional motors with the app and HUB developed by BREL HOME."   

The blinds industry has gone through major changes in the past twelve and a half years. Not only in appearance with new materials and systems, but also in terms of operation, from manual to motorized (solar) control with battery technology. BREL HOME has continually studied the possibilities and worked to make new solutions available to the general public through its dealers. 

Among other things, BREL HOME has introduced battery-powered bi-directional motors for indoor blinds. This is a motor controller, which, in combination with the BREL HOME app, allows the position of the slats to be controlled independently of the position the blind is in. "In addition, by combining smart technologies, various scenarios for control can be created," Arts explains. "For example, the BREL HOME app can easily be linked via the HUB to Google Home, Siri, Alexa, Control4, Homey et cetera. This also allows the products to be controlled via voice." 

A key focus for BREL HOME is making it easy for users to install the various applications. "Everyone should be able to use our products easily and enjoy the comfort," Budding believes. "We send a manual with the product and videos can be downloaded via our website. As for the HUB, the bluetooth connection now makes installation even easier during initial commissioning. That's another new development! Control via the BREL HOME app is self-explanatory after that."

That the innovations in the field of control of interior and exterior blinds are catching on is evident from the growth BREL HOME has experienced in recent years. Arts and Budding started their partnership from a garage, but now their company is housed with a ten-headed team in premises with an experience center and a recently modernized warehouse on Voltastraat in Doetinchem. "The developments keep going on and it seems like we are constantly running out of time to keep up with all the innovations, fulfill our orders and answer questions," Budding said. "Our dealers are our great asset. After all, they are our connection to the consumers who purchase our engines, app and HUB!" 

Together with dealers and consumers, BREL HOME is going to celebrate its anniversary, because its twelve and a half years of existence is reason for a celebration, according to Budding and Arts. "We are launching a great promotion on July 1. With the purchase of four awning products with bi-directional motors, consumers will receive a free Brel HUB-03 as a gift, with which everything can be controlled via the BREL HOME app!" said Budding. This promotion - for which BREL HOME dealers will be provided with appealing promotional material - will last until September 30, 2023. "In addition, we are organizing a celebration for our customers in September," adds Arts. "We will do this at the Incoda trade fair, in which we will participate from September 24 to 26."
