SUNFLEX: 'Sliding door systems, also for the hospitality industry'

SUNFLEX has several sliding pivot systems in its delivery program. The SF25 and the SF30 are full-glass systems and thus frameless. "They are often used for private projects, but also prove functional and popular for applications within the hospitality sector," says Edwin de Jong, who represents SUNFLEX in the Netherlands and Flanders. 

The sliding door systems are available both for enclosing terrace roofs - private and hospitality - and for indoor glass walls and balcony glazing. According to De Jong, one advantage of the SF25 system - besides keeping out wind, cold and blowing precipitation - is that the ambient noise that permeates a closed glass wall is significantly reduced. "Because in our urbanized country space is used more and more intensively, there is more and more noise pollution, for example from traffic. The SF25 sliding sash system can reduce the ambient noise penetrating by 17 dB, upgraded even by 34 dB! SUNFLEX is the only provider who has certified this type of system." 

Standing or hanging

Slide-through systems are usually suspended, says De Jong. SUNFLEX's SF25 is such a suspended system. It goes up to a maximum of 14.40 meters wide and 2.80 meters high. "With the SF30, we also have a system in the range that is carried out standing. The advantage in of course that the structure of the patio cover is not stressed." This system goes up to a maximum of 18.00 meters wide and 3.00 meters high. 

The SF25, SF30 sliding door systems and the SF35 framed system can of course be used to close SUNFLEX patio covers, but they can also be combined with covers and roofs of other brands. In addition, they are also suitable for intensive business use, for example in the hospitality industry, and thus certainly not only intended for private applications. 

"All of SUNFLEX's sliding door systems are custom-made," said De Jong. "They can be supplied in any color and equipped with various accessories, such as different handles and latches. Moreover, all our products are CE-certified and extensively tested. In short: a German quality product! Of course, all this is also important for the catering industry. By a suitable color scheme, for example, the hospitality entrepreneur can enhance the appearance of his business." 

Framed systems

The SF35 framed sliding pivot system is not a fully insulated system, but according to De Jong, it does increase comfort because of the optional double glazing and because the framed panels interlock and therefore fit together better "The demand for this kind of framed system is growing, we notice. It is currently one of our fastest growing product groups," De Jong said.
