Tastes and building styles differ. In order to accommodate all kinds of terrace situations, SUNFLEX Aluminiumsysteme GmbH developed the SF300 terrace roofing. It is distinguished - among other things - by a cubic design that fits in well with modern, linear building styles.
At 2°, the canopy has only a very slight roof pitch, emphasizing the cubist design of the SF300. That slight slope, however, is sufficient to drain rainwater effectively into the concealed gutters and downspouts. The different ways in which rainwater can be drained should ensure that reliable drainage can be achieved in any situation.
The slightly sloping roof surface is unobtrusively hidden behind the 300 mm high, cleanly and horizontally designed roof edge all around. The slight roof pitch is therefore hardly noticeable from the outside. It gives the terrace roofing SF300 its modern, cubist appearance.
Like all other SUNFLEX patio covers in the range, the framework of the SF300 is made entirely of aluminum. This ensures that the canopy is weatherproof and durable. If statistically necessary - for example, in snowy areas - the profiles can be reinforced with steel, allowing the canopy to handle a snow load of more than 350 kg per m2.
The design of the SF300 canopy was carefully considered at SUNFLEX. For example, no visible screw connections were used so as not to disturb the appearance of the canopy. Dimensions, color, equipment and technical details of the SF300 can be chosen individually by the end customer. Integrated lighting channels allow the SF300 to be equipped with LED lighting, both all around and in the roof beams. The SF300 patio canopy can also be combined with SUNFLEX's sliding systems or sliding-turn systems to provide end users with optimal protection even in rain and wind.
The personalization options allow the appearance, comfort and functionality of the patio cover to be tailored to the wishes of the end users. Moreover, in terms of design, it can be adapted to the home or building with which it is combined. The result, according to SUNFLEX, is a comfortable outdoor living space for all seasons and for numerous situations, since the SF300 can be used not only for private, but also for catering applications.
To give substance to glass facades, SUNFLEX has newly developed the SF60 and SF80 sliding windows. "What makes them special is that they have particularly slim profiles," says Edwin de Jong, who represents SUNFLEX in the Netherlands and Flanders. "Also special is that, despite their slim design, these sliding windows have particularly good, insulating properties and are easy to install."
"The narrow profiles maximize light penetration, a uniform look and a virtually unobstructed view to the outside," continued De Jong. "With a fully recessed outer frame, a sash window with profiles of only 21 mm and a center post of only 30 mm, the SF60 and the SF80 create a spacious feeling with a smooth transition between inside and outside. This effect is further enhanced by a rail that can be fully recessed into the floor, which also promotes accessibility. Flat rectangular handles support the minimalist design."
With the SF60 and SF80, SUNFLEX now offers its proven sliding doors also in a thermally insulated (SF60) and a highly thermally insulated version (SF80). "This makes these systems particularly suitable for glass facades and conservatories. Depending on the glazing and size, the SF80 even achieves Uw values as low as 0.8W/m2K," says De Jong.
The SF60 and SF80 sash windows can be opened to the left and/or right as desired. When opening and closing, built-in carriers automatically pull any subsequent sashes with them. Practical according to De Jong and it makes cleaning the glass easier. "Ball-bearing rollers and rails made of high-quality stainless steel ensure that the sliding sashes move particularly smoothly."
Large opening widths can be realized with the systems. Height, width and glass thickness of the sliding elements can be selected individually, up to a maximum weight of 800 kg per window. Up to three rails can be installed in parallel, allowing up to six movable glass sashes.
"With glass thicknesses up to 34 mm for the SF60 or 54 mm for the SF80 and optional steel reinforcements in the center post, the systems can withstand high wind speeds and driving rain," De Jong concludes. "Standard-mounted mushroom-shaped headlocks contribute to optimal sealing and increase burglary protection."
