Solero plants its own corporate forest with Trees for All

Firmly rooted in soil, sun-resistant and water-repellent; Solero parasols bear many similarities to trees. Unfortunately, nature is still outsmarting us. Our parasols can't convert harmful CO2 into oxygen. For this we really need trees. And lots of them! We don't waste any time, so we've started planting a real tree nursery. Solero corporate forest. Not on our own, between 2020 and 2022, two thousand trees will be planted by us in partnership with Trees for All.

NOT ON YOUR OWN

While entrepreneur Elon Musk is making plans with SpaceX to move to the planet Mars, Trees for All is making plans to keep Earth livable. Because even in the future, we will continue to live on Earth. And the great thing is; that is not nearly as costly as a trip to a planet far away. Every year 10 billion more trees are cut down than are planted and the lungs of the earth are disappearing bit by bit. Trees for All wants to reverse that process. "Trees take care of us, therefore we take care of trees." That is the motto of Trees for All. Everyone who wants to contribute to a green earth and a healthy climate can support their work. Together with Trees for All, we can make a difference, because every tree counts.

WHY PLANT TREES, TO OFFSET CO2 EMISSIONS?

CO2 (i.e. carbon) is not all bad. In fact, trees need (greenhouse) gas CO2 to grow. Through photosynthesis, they convert the CO2 into wood and oxygen. The trees secrete the oxygen, which makes us all happy. Carbon, in turn, is the building block for the roots, branches, leaves and trunk of trees. So by planting trees, the CO2 emissions from our delivery are recycled and neutralized, so to speak. This makes our delivery CO2 neutral.

Forests are important for oxygen production, but they also provide wood for furniture and homes, food and medicine, and they provide protection and a home for people, animals and plants. Trees purify the air, absorbing the greenhouse gas CO2 and providing oxygen in return. Trees especially store extra CO2 as they grow. The CO2 is then sequestered in the tree's growing biomass. Once they are fully grown, trees no longer store extra CO2 (they still convert CO2 from the air into oxygen, among other things). The CO2 they stored in the growth phase remains in the tree. In short, forests regulate the climate, are essential to the water cycle and prevent erosion and desiccation.

GREEN FINGERS

We have firmly begun planting our 2000 corporate forest trees, we will keep you updated on our progress and exact location in the interim. Feel free to take a walk through our wonderfully cool forest or plant a new tree yourself.
