A good example of this is the realization of a new awning for restaurant Babbo in Tilburg.
The process starts with Schlappi itself, as the marquee specialist actively recruits leads for new projects to support its Select Dealers. Owner Dennis Schoormans: "We approach companies that are potentially interested in our products. In the case of restaurant Babbo, owner Marcel van Look was looking for a new look for his terrace, as the old awning did not meet expectations."
The process begins with a unique element. In fact, Schlappi has a special landing page where customers can upload a photo of their facade. Schlappi's team then creates a digital impression of the awnings on the property. This feature is also available to Select Dealers. "Thanks to the visualization, Marcel was able to make an informed choice, which gave him great confidence in the end result."
After the initial photo editing and consultation, Schlappi turned the warm lead over to Ambiance Zonwering Kolsters, the local Select Dealer. "This collaboration ensured that the project went smoothly, from quote request to installation." So says Schoormans. "The cooperation with our dealers is set up so that the customer already has a complete file before the dealer gets involved, which makes the transition seamless."
The project at Babbo Restaurant was not without its challenges. After all, the awning had to have a projection of 3.10 meters and, in addition, account had to be taken of the window section on the second floor and two pilasters on the facade. This called for a custom solution. This is exactly what Schlappi and their Select Dealers excel at.
Ambiance Zonwering Kolsters, based in Hilvarenbeek, was called in for the measuring and installation. Frank Kolsters, owner of Ambiance Zonwering, says: "We have been working with Schlappi for more than thirty years and the cooperation always goes very smoothly. Dennis sends an e-mail with all the information about the customer, we visit and take everything in detail. Thanks to their preparatory work, we can move quickly and efficiently." A creative solution was found for Babbo, where the awning was not only functional, but also aesthetically pleasing, despite the complex window area.
The final awning blends seamlessly with the restaurant's corporate identity, with white and yellow striped cloths and subtle logos on the flounce. It was important to the owner that the awning was not only practical, but also enhanced the atmosphere of the restaurant. "The result is impressive," says Van Look. "The awning exudes exactly the cozy and secure atmosphere we were looking for, and the dimmable lighting allows us to offer our guests a nice place to sit outside even on less-than-perfect summer days." During the installation process, extra attention was paid to details such as mood lighting and patio heaters, which make the patio even more attractive.
The cooperation between Schlappi and its Select Dealers goes beyond technical installation. Schlappi also provides marketing support, such as creating images for advertising and videos, which helps dealers promote their services even better. "They help us not only with leads, but also with promotion," Kolsters says. "Vice versa, we do the same by advertising in the local paper. For us, it is also very nice that customers can always visit the Schlappi showroom."
