Pergola screens are in great demand, notes markilux. One important reason for this is that they usually combine a light appearance with a sturdy, wind-stable construction that has the appearance of an awning but works like a protective roof. There is therefore a wide variety of pergola models available today. markilux has only immediately developed an entire product line. Its latest model is the pergola style. "This pergola embodies pure beauty and lets the terrace shine with effective lighting technology," says Michael Gerling, Director of Production and Technology at markilux.
"Almost casually, this new pergola from markilux leans against the house wall," continues Gerling. "The name pergola style says it all, as the awning has an extraordinarily subtle construction: from the stable uprights and the fully angled cassette to the compact extension profile. The model has a particularly sleek design, emphasizing the cubic shape in all parts. The screen also looks like a single unit, because there is virtually no screw to be seen!"
"Our goal was to take the pergola system optically to an even higher level. To shape the design more gracefully and to accentuate it through an atmospheric lighting design - similar to the MX-4 presented last year. Therefore, LED lines can be integrated not only in the side guides and in the cassette, which can be operated via an app, but also in the uprights and foot covers. Uplights provide an attractive light sequence here. RGB LED lighting creates neutral to colorful light scenes, accentuating the shape of the screen."
"In the development of the pergola style, aesthetics were a top priority, and beyond that we mainly built on the solid technology of the already existing pergola products," Gerling continues. "Thus, as a single screen, the model is already suitable for areas of up to 30 square meters. In addition, two to five screens can be combined for even more shade. In addition to weather sensors, heat emitters and the Volant-plus function, the system can also be partially equipped with vertical screens. The screen is available in seven standard colors as well as special colors. A wide variety of designs and technical fabrics can also be selected from markilux's fabric collection. The pergola style is driven by various motor systems with mostly radio control and partly smart control."
