With hotter summers, there is increasing demand for shade and cooling on the terrace or in the garden. As a specialist in sun protection and natural cooling, Harol responds to this need with its latest folding roofs Phoenix Air and Phoenix Free.
The first function of the new folding roofs is, of course, to block out the sun so that the end user can enjoy maximum cooling while also being protected from harmful UV rays. But Harol goes further. "Smart options can add value to the terrace in terms of experience and comfort," says Harol CEO Annick Draelants. For example, the Phoenix Free and the Phoenix Air can be equipped with the sleek and atmospheric Step Light LED lighting." The end customer can thereby choose between mono-directional - shining downwards - or bidirectional - shining downwards and upwards - light. The Step Light diffuses warm white light with a light temperature of 3000 K, is dimmable and has a maximum light emission of 250 lumens. It is also possible to integrate LED lighting into the ribs of the folding fabric. For this, you can choose between white or RGB light.
In addition to lighting, heating can also be integrated into the Phoenix patio roofs. Furthermore, additional options, such as power outlets, possibly with a usb connection, provide greater ease of use, both for private users, and for guests if the Phoenix is used in a catering environment.
Harol's Phoenix folding roofs can be operated at the touch of a button. The io motor ensures almost silent operation and can optionally be controlled by sun, rain, temperature and wind sensors. The energy consumption for operating the folding roof, heating and lighting is also very low, and all materials from which the Phoenix Free and Phoenix Air are made are 99% recyclable.
"The new folding roofs stand out for their elegant, minimalist design with high-quality finishes," emphasizes Annick Draelants. "They have curved fabric profiles with side drainage and a 100% waterproof, rainproof PVC fabric as standard. The end user can choose from blackout or translucent fabric, eight standard colors and optionally even all RAL colors. In addition, the fabric is treated against mildew."
According to the CEO, the new folding roofs fit perfectly into Harol's vision of innovative and sustainable solutions that maximize sunlight control. Their large dimensions of 5.5 x 6 and 5.5 x 7 m also make them very suitable for professional applications, such as in the hospitality industry. "But we look beyond the purely functional and always focus very much on comfort and - to accommodate our dealers - ease of installation."
"The Phoenix Free and Phoenix Air can be easily installed, whether attached to a home or free-standing. We achieve this partly by involving builders, fitters and architects in the development of our products. As a result, we are able to achieve ever more attractive designs and even more comfort, safety and durability, and thus ease of installation. For example, components are already pre-assembled into macro assemblies in the factory. The technical part of the roofs, such as transformers, control units, receivers and wiring boxes, is easily accessible. Obviously, this also contributes to an easy and fast installation!" concludes Annick Draelants.
