Deponti Group: 'The magic of the R+T!'

"It remains something magical, a trade fair like this," says Thijs van Woensel, Deponti Group's commercial director. He speaks following the R+T in Stuttgart, where Deponti launched two new canopies. A conversation with Van Woensel to unravel the magic! 

You speak of "magic," tell!

"That magic works two-fold for me. On the one hand, it's about the intensive contact with colleagues during the fair. I can enjoy it when I see someone excel in conversations with visitors. I also notice how a trade fair always has an enormous connecting effect and strengthens the team spirit. These are the moments when we as a company give out our visiting card. Together we put the Deponti Group on the map! What we build together every day becomes even more visible in five days. From the build-up to the fair itself and the moment we leave. I can then really watch from a distance and fully enjoy what I see happening. On the other hand, the international character appeals to me enormously. People with passion for our profession come together. I therefore look back on rich encounters. I experience such a fair intensely, as you notice."

Deponti Group unpacked two new products at the R+T. Can you tell us something about them?

"We launched the Pinela Glass in the first place. We are very happy with this addition to our range. I think this canopy stands out for its sleek and stylish design. Particularly striking are the glass roof with wide glass panels that provide an abundance of natural light. What makes the Pinela Glass really special is its cubist appearance thanks to its integrated construction. With this we achieve an even tighter and more minimalist look. In addition, we have launched the Pinela Deluxe Plus. The premise of this design is to allow the end user to fully experience the nearby outside world. At the touch of a button, the extra-wide slats can be operated - tilted and/or slid - to create the optimal light. During the R+T, I experienced great enthusiasm for both products."

Finally, what has stayed with you from the fair in Stuttgart?

"The first thing that comes to mind is the positive feedback, especially from German visitors, about our Louvres. It is a wonderful way to create a partition, without complete closure, which allows the end user to experience a sense of freedom and openness. The interesting thing is that we introduced this "masterpiece" "it last year and we find that it is now being increasingly "discovered. Moreover, the Louvres are suitable for all types of patio covers, making them versatile."
