Coolscreen by Harol wins prestigious Red Dot Award 2023: innovative product design

For the second time, awning expert wins Harol the prestigious Red Dot Design Award. The entire Coolscreen collection was this time awarded in the Product Design category. The Coolscreen collection was awarded by an international jury thanks to its smart functionalities, sustainable design and strong technology. On Monday, June 19, Harol will officially receive the Red Dot Award 2023 in Essen, Germany.

The international jury praised the innovative and sustainable design of Harol's new Coolscreen collection. The new screens form a natural buffer against overheating in the summer months and provide extra insulation in the winter, resulting in less energy consumption and more living comfort. Annick Draelants, CEO of Harol: "We are extremely proud that the Harol product range has won another Red Dot Award! The Coolscreen collection represents a new generation of screens where we are committed to sustainable design from the very beginning. The Coolscreen collection has a minimum of parts which greatly increases the ease of installation. Moreover, the assembly is completely "clickable" because the parts are not glued together. This means that at the end of the life cycle all parts can easily be disassembled, reused in the circular economy and contribute to a sustainable society. The Coolscreen collection has minimal fabric wear and quiet operation thanks to Harol's optimized X-Glide Technology. The minimalist design of both the box and the guides - screwless and including a bottom bar that (partially) disappears into the box - provides a sleek look.

Coolscreen Solar, which runs entirely on solar energy, is already available and from September Harol will introduce the full Coolscreen collection.
