BECKER is firmly established in the Benelux. And not only within the sun protection world, because BECKER products are used very widely, including in smoke and fire alarm systems, greenhouse construction, swimming pool covers and health care. But for the Z&R Yearbook, applications for sun protection, roller shutters and terrace solutions are of course of particular interest. Then it is emphatically not only about motors, but also remote controls and (home) controls. 

BECKER has witnessed the development of the tube motor up close, leading to the latest development, the Centronic Plus tube motor. These tube motors are bidirectional, and the current status of a device or system driven by them can always be queried via the app. These motors are compatible with existing Centronic program transmitters and motors. 

Evolution tube motors

Over the past quarter century, Karl Pyfferoen of sun protection specialist Pyfferoen from Heule near Kortrijk has followed the evolution of BECKER tubular motors: from one type of tubular motor with a mechanical limit switch to today's proven, easy-to-use Centronic wireless technology. Thanks to the continuous product innovation at BECKER, we can always offer our customers the latest technologies and systems."

Home control center CC41 CentralControl

With the new smarthome home control unit CC41 CentralControl, the operating and control options offered by BECKER Benelux are now even more complete. The home control unit makes it possible to operate shutters or blinds very easily with the BECKER app on smartphone, tablet or computer from home or elsewhere. 

SolarKit SK460

BECKER also plays into energy saving and sustainability. A good example of this is the new Solar-Kit SK460, where roller shutter and screen applications are powered by means of a solar panel. These are DC tube motors of 6 or 10 Nm, equipped with an electronic limit switch, soft-start-soft-stop system and blocking function. The motors can be controlled remotely with a Centronic transmitter. 

E33 and C33 with manual operation

Becker develops and manufactures all of its products itself, which regularly results in innovations. A recent example is the E33 and C33 motors for awnings. Power failures seem to be becoming a current problem and this can be annoying for awnings as well. Suppose the electrically powered patio awning is unfolded and a thunderstorm breaks out, causing a power failure. Then it is particularly convenient if an awning with an electric drive can also be retracted by hand to keep it from being damaged. For this purpose, they have an additional emergency hand control with an easy-to-handle crank. 

SMI tube motors: the solution for project blinds

With its drives and controls for roller shutters and awnings, "Made in Germany," BECKER offers solutions that simplify living, living and working. For both private and large-scale utility projects, clients are increasingly choosing automated roller shutters and blinds. For projects, BECKER thereby integrates its SMI tube motors - SMI stands for Standard Motor Interface - into a KNX environment, the worldwide standard for building automation.

The use of SMI tube motors plays a decisive role here, because they are ideally suited to be integrated into a KNX environment: they are assembly-friendly, have multiple control options, precise status reporting, automatic fabric compensation, fabric release and blocking detection, and they are energy-efficient. An advantage is that they do not require an external KNX module, as this is integrated into the SMI motors. In addition, the motors are user-friendly, making it easy for the sun protection specialist to adjust them himself.
