ALUKON: 'ZipTex and WireTex are more than just sun protection' 

ALUKON has developed the smart shading systems ZipTex and WireTex. They are designed to protect against bright sunlight and provide cooling shade. They are both shading systems with guidance on the sides. 

ALUKON's textile blinds are modern and durable, according to the company. The fabrics are made of UV-resistant material that repels water and dirt, making them resistant to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions. The zipper system means the canvases always stay firmly in place, even in high winds. Because the bins and guide rails are made of extruded and powder-coated aluminum, the ZipTex and WireTex systems require little maintenance, according to ALUKON. 

Shadow without obstruction

Vertical fabric awnings installed in front of the window create optimal shade without completely blocking the view outside. Depending on the fabric variant chosen, the shading systems can also completely darken. ALUKON offers its vertical fabric awnings in two variants, the difference being mainly in the side guide used. 

The ZipTex variant offers an extremely stable side guide thanks to a narrow guide rail with plastic zip guide. This system ensures that the fabric is guided on both sides over the full height and fixed by the zipper on the fabric. This type of screen can be implemented as a front-mounted system with a box on the facade or invisibly installed as a surface-mounted system on the window, where the box can be plastered on the outside. 

Flexible side guide

The WireTex variant has a flexible and sophisticated side guide with stainless steel cables. The bottom rail at the lower end of the fabric is guided through the cables. According to ALUKON, WireTex is very suitable for building conditions where it is difficult or even impossible to fit a guide rail, such as with fixed glazing. The flexible system provides a solution in these situations.
